The answer is … 4! At least if you want it to be fun!
The shed needed to be moved to gain greater access to the power pole for getting the service wires to the house placed underground. Alan of Idaho Wood Sheds, who is the nicest brother-in-law I could wish to have, brought his big red winch with tilting trailer and his expertise to move it for us. He didn’t know he was going to have so much help —
We had prepared the new site. Alan pulled the previously emptied shed up on his trailer, drove it out to the road, unloaded and turned it around so it would be facing correctly, then carefully maneuvered it between two large shade trees. There was some wiggling that had to be done to get it to sit on the support structures. No fear! The engineers are here! Some by educational degree, all by aptitude, they collaborated to build the bridge... I mean, move the shed. Ideas and I-beams were creating sparks in the air. (Of course, everyone has I-beams just laying around their yard to use as leverage to move small buildings)
Since they are men strong of body, as well as of mind, they didn’t always wait for consensus to implement their ideas. While the I-beam was being applied at one corner, another handy rod of iron and brute force were being used on another. Strangely, unless you listened to their conversation, it all looked coordinated. Possibly they have some secret signals that I am unaware of … come to think of it, I’m sure they do.
I will assume they were all quite safety conscious. Alan never looked concerned. At one point, he did step back laughing and say , “I don’t think you need me!” He suggested they all to go with him to the next job. Lemonade was provided before they all dispersed to their real jobs, but the rest of the day will be boring compared to super engineering the shed.
